Best JDM importers: how this ranking will work
This page will hold the site’s ranking of JDM importers. At launch it holds no ranked dealers, because there are no moderated buyer reviews to rank yet. What follows is the method, published up front so it cannot be changed to suit a business later.

No dealers are ranked here yet. A ranking will only be published once there is enough moderated buyer feedback to make it meaningful. If you run an importer, you can submit your business for review today.
The ranking method
- Ratings come from buyers on this site. Only reviews submitted here, and passed through moderation and spam checks, count toward a ranking. No score is imported from another site.
- No Google ratings or reviews. Google ratings, review counts and review text are never republished and never used as a ranking input.
- A published minimum. A business must reach a stated minimum number of moderated reviews before it can appear in the ranking, so a single review cannot decide a position. The exact minimum will be published before the first ranking goes live.
- Aggregated over time. The method will state how recency and volume are weighted, so a burst of reviews cannot quietly dominate a long record.
- No paid placement. Advertisers and paying businesses get no change in position. Any future advertising will be labelled and kept visually separate from the ranking.
- Owner replies are labelled. A dealer may respond to a review, but the reply will always be shown as the dealer’s response, never mixed into the buyer’s rating.
Why the method is published before the ranking
Ranking pages are only useful if buyers can trust them. Publishing the method first means the rules are visible before any business has an incentive to influence them, and it lets you judge the ranking on stated terms rather than on marketing copy.

Can a business pay to rank higher?
No. Paid placement will never reorder a ratings-derived list. If advertising is added in future it will be clearly labelled and kept separate from the ranking.
What will the ranking be based on?
Rankings will follow moderated ratings submitted by buyers on this site, using a published method that states the minimum number of reviews needed and how ratings are aggregated over time.

Businesses can submit for review by emailing [email protected]. Submitting is free, does not guarantee inclusion, and does not guarantee a favourable rating.
